The mummification is one of the biggest mysteries of the past. Why are some bodies mummified and others not, who are in the same place? Why did cultures of ancient times have nearly the same methods of mummification, although they lived in different countries? The author shows us different cultures and their typical methods of mummification: from the mummies of the old Egypt to the thousand-year-old mummies in Chile, the Italian "Catacumbas", the north European "Tuberas", the "Guanche" mummies of the Canary Islands and not to forget the Chinese "White mummies". All these cultures tried to avoid the death with these methods.
